About Me

The Magic of Massage Therapy

I was going through intense physical therapy to recover after surgery, and every day I went to bed with sore, achy muscles. Finally, my physical therapist suggest I give massage therapy a try. Massage therapy really helped me relax and unwind after a hard day at physical therapy, but I think it also helped speed my recovery. It helped with blood flow and circulation, and I really felt much better after every session. I liked it so much that I kept going even after I was fully recovered. I started this blog to talk about the magic of massage therapy. It really helped me, and I believe that it can really help others as well. If you’ve been wanting to learn what massage therapy is like and how it helps, you’ll find the answers here on my blog.

Working With Medical Professionals To Reduce School Absences

As a parent, you do all that you can to ensure that your kids are happy, healthy and strong. You work to keep up with the household, you do your best to transport every child to the different activities that they take part in. You take your kids in for their regular medical exams and you provide them with healthy food to eat each day. After all of this, you would think that your kids would be able to make it to school each day.

Kids can't learn if they aren't in school. Some kids tend to miss more school than others. Is there something that your doctor can do to help you keep your kids in school? What can you do to keep your kids from getting sick so often? Here, you'll find a little information that can help you get through this difficult time.

Start a Discussion

Do your kids realize how important it is that they go to school every day that they are healthy enough to do so? Do they know that you could end up facing fines for them missing too much school?

You need to get to the bottom of why your kids don't want to go to school. Sure, they will miss when they are sick, but how often are they really sick? There could be more to the problem than just not wanting to go to school. There could be a bullying situation. There could be a social anxiety problem. There could be so many things going on, but until you take the time to ask and investigate, you'll never know why your kid doesn't want to go to school.

Work with a Doctor

You need to rule out any true medical conditions that could be causing your kid to get sick so often. There is always the chance that there's something physically going on that makes your kid more susceptible to getting sick. It could be something as simple as not getting enough of a certain vitamin in their diet each day, or it could be something more serious.

Your child's doctor will run a few tests, talk with your kid, and if you sign a release, can also talk with the staff at the school to learn if there are any behavioral issues that could be causing the absences.

Your kids shouldn't miss more than 9 days each school year. If he or she is missing more, there could be a reason to be concerned. Start the discussion with your family's doctor and go from there. To learn more, contact a company like Stellis Health
