About Me

The Magic of Massage Therapy

I was going through intense physical therapy to recover after surgery, and every day I went to bed with sore, achy muscles. Finally, my physical therapist suggest I give massage therapy a try. Massage therapy really helped me relax and unwind after a hard day at physical therapy, but I think it also helped speed my recovery. It helped with blood flow and circulation, and I really felt much better after every session. I liked it so much that I kept going even after I was fully recovered. I started this blog to talk about the magic of massage therapy. It really helped me, and I believe that it can really help others as well. If you’ve been wanting to learn what massage therapy is like and how it helps, you’ll find the answers here on my blog.

When Should You See A Rheumatologist? 3 Signs It's Time

A rheumatologist is a physician that can help to further investigate your illness or symptoms to help give you a proper diagnosis and to get you the medical treatment necessary in order to start healing. A rheumatologist helps to diagnose issues with the musculoskeletal system, in addition to autoimmune conditions. A rheumatologist is usually referred to anyone that is suffering, but a diagnosis has not yet been reached, or a proper diagnosis is not being reached. If you aren't sure if you should be seeing a rheumatologist, read on for a few signs that it's time to make an appointment.

1. You Are In A Lot Of Pain

If you are experiencing a lot of pain, but everything your physician comes up with isn't helping, it may be time to see a rheumatologist. Your condition may be presented in a way that isn't as commonly seen, but a rheumatologist can help take your symptoms and get a diagnosis to treat you properly. They have the skills and know-how to get you treated properly. They will try different treatments in order to diagnose your medical issue.

2. Your Family History Includes Autoimmune Conditions

If your family has a history of autoimmune conditions, other conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, or even joint pain or inflammation, you should seek help from a rheumatologist. You could also have these same issues, and they may just be beginning, or they may be presenting in other ways and it's difficult to diagnose them. If you have a family history that includes these types of disorders or conditions, you should seek help from a rheumatologist.

3. Your Symptoms Are Affecting Your Day To Day Life

If you are in a lot of pain, you are tired all of the time, or you have a general malaise that is unexplained, you should seek help from a rheumatologist. You may have these symptoms and they have gone unexplained or they haven't been treated properly, and they could be affecting your personal life, especially your relationships or even your work life. If your symptoms are beginning to get in the way of living, it's time to seek help.

If you have any of these signs, it's time to get help from a rheumatologist to get a proper diagnosis and for treatment options that work for you. Talk to your physician about getting a referral if needed, and get the help you need so you can live your life free of pain.
