About Me

The Magic of Massage Therapy

I was going through intense physical therapy to recover after surgery, and every day I went to bed with sore, achy muscles. Finally, my physical therapist suggest I give massage therapy a try. Massage therapy really helped me relax and unwind after a hard day at physical therapy, but I think it also helped speed my recovery. It helped with blood flow and circulation, and I really felt much better after every session. I liked it so much that I kept going even after I was fully recovered. I started this blog to talk about the magic of massage therapy. It really helped me, and I believe that it can really help others as well. If you’ve been wanting to learn what massage therapy is like and how it helps, you’ll find the answers here on my blog.

Deciding On A Breast Augmentation: The Important Decisions You'Ll Need To Make

Are you thinking about getting a breast augmentation? Although there's nothing wrong with a smaller breast size, you may feel like you'd be more confident if you could undergo a breast augmentation procedure to enhance your current size. Before going through with such a major procedure, there are a lot of important decisions you'll need to make.

Which Size is Right For You?

Think about the breast size you'd like to achieve via cosmetic surgery. Some women choose a size that will look more natural while others are all about going as big as they possibly can. It's such an important decision for you to make. If you don't have much breast tissue to begin with, you may need to start with a smaller size and then work your way up to a larger size. The plastic surgeon would be able to talk to you about realistic size options based on your current breast size.

Which Type is Best For You?

Did you know there are a few different types of implant options? Saline implants were once one of the most common options, but they typically don't last as long as the other two options – silicone breast implants and gummy bear breast implants. The best thing for you to do is to research each of these options to review both the pros and cons.

Gummy bear breast implants are known for looking the most natural out of the three options while silicone options tend to feel more natural. The great thing about both of these options is that they don't need to be replaced as often. In fact, the average person may be able to go two decades before they'd need to have the old implants replaced with new implants.

What Is Recovery Like?

Are you concerned about how you're going to feel after the surgery? It's normal to experience some pain because it's a surgical procedure, but your plastic surgeon may prescribe pain medication to help relieve your discomfort. Using ice packs on your chest may help you get a bit more relief as well.

After the surgery, special dressings are placed over the chest and will need to stay put until the plastic surgeon removes them. In most cases, the special dressings are removed within two weeks, which is around the time you'd be able to get back to work. If you have some extra vacation time, you'll want to use it so that you can take the time to get rest and recuperate rather than rushing back to work without healing properly.

A breast augmentation may be right for you if you're not happy with your current breast size. However, you should discuss your options, find out more about the sizes and types available, and understand what the recovery process will be like before you go through with the procedure.
